Worship and Prayer Team Training

Many various styles of music and prayer are practiced in Birmingham Prayer Furnace gatherings. Anything that builds agreement in prayer and higher engagement across the room is welcome!  The Birmingham Prayer Furnace sometimes uses a model of music with prayer called "Harp and Bowl". It is a model developed by the International House of Prayer in Kansas City.

Mitch Kelley  is a gifted trainer of musicians and singers desiring to lead prayer and worship in the night and day prayer movement. His full-time job is currently worship director for Fullness Christian Fellowship

The basis for the model is taken from the scriptures in Revelation 5 that speak of the elders before the throne of God holding harps and also bowls of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.  Music and prayer is happening in the Presence of God in Heaven at all times.  Music sustains worship and pleasurable prayer over long periods of time.  Since Jesus taught us to pray for the will of God to be done on earth as it is in heaven, we want our 24/7 prayer rooms to reflect what is happening in heaven.

If you are a singer, worship leader, prayer leader, or musician who would like to be trained for Harp and Bowl sessions contact us through Mitch@BirminghamPrayerFurnace.com to let us know of your interest.  Harp and Bowl training happens about every three months.
