Four Redigging the Wells regional prayer and justice initiatives

were held from Sept 15, 2012 to Sept 13, 2015.

They were in the spirit of Genesis 26:18

"Isaac re-dug the wells of water,

that had been dug in the days of his father Abraham"

 

1) The Well of Birmingham - Sept 15, 2012 and 2013  (The 49th and 50th anniversaries of the KKK bombing of the 16th Street Baptist Church.)

The largest reunion of bombing survivors from the 16th St Baptist Church gathered for an explosion of love and forgiveness.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2) The Well of Native Honor - August 8/9 2014 in Montgomery

(On the 200th anniversary of the Treaty of Fort Jackson ending the Creek War.)

Native American leaders, Alabama representatives, and a descendent of one of the original Treaty signors in 1814 drafted a Treaty of Brotherhood and a symbolic Pardon of Andrew Jackson for harms done.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

3) The Well of Selma - A 22 Day Prayer Tent, March 14 - April 4, 2015

launched with help from the Ferguson, MO Prayer Tent community

including the uncle of the slain Michael Brown

climaxing with

 a Procession of Praise over

4)  The Well of Alabama and God our Father - Sept 12-13, 2015

Honoring Two Jewish Abrahams with significant Alabama ties on Rosh Hashana

Abraham Mordecai and Rabbi Abraham Heschel

and 

Honoring ABBA Father in Public Worship on Dexter Ave and the State Capitol
